Pre-Employment Medical Testing – Benefits to the Employee and Employer

Sarah Fodness is a Certified Nurse Practitioner with WorkFORCE in Sioux Falls, where she specializes in occupational health and medical services.  She is a certified Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner, IMPACT certified concussion examiner, and is occupational health program certified.  At our April chapter meeting, Sarah will share information on types of pre-employment testing and the value it brings to both employee and employer. Topics covered will include:

• a.       Types of pre-employment tests and their components
• b.      Benefits of pre-employment tests
• c.       Individuals and industries that may benefit from pre-employment testing
• d.      Health information- what is protected and what can be shared with the employer
• e.      What happens if a medical issue is discovered during the testing?

This activity is approved for 1.00 hours of SHRM and HRCI General continuing education credits.
