Micki Slykhuis started her career as a Registered Nurse in 1999 and quickly acclimated herself into the world of worker’s compensation. She began her employment at OHARA LLC as a Telephonic Nurse Case Manager in the fall of 2000. She advanced her knowledge by submerging herself into every aspect of OHARA LLC to include Field Case Management, Telephonic Case Management, Team Lead, Director of Case Management, and Business Development. Micki currently serves as the President and CEO of OHARA LLC. She is invested in strategic growth with trusted partners. It is through objective, tangible value these partnerships are rooted. Micki is passionate about the design and implementation of “boutique like” programs that solve challenges for clients. Her hands-on approach fuels her passion for people, transparency and a collaborative, inclusive culture.
Colleen Moran is a Senior Deputy State's Attorney for the Minnehaha County State's Attorney's Office, prior Chief Operating Officer of Independent Living Choices in Sioux Falls, and past Assistant City Attorney for the City of Sioux Falls. While at the City of Sioux Falls, Colleen managed the Human Relations Division, acted as the City’s ADA Coordinator, and provided legal guidance to the City. Colleen has also worked as a law clerk for the Chief Justice of the South Dakota Supreme Court, is the Chair of Sioux Falls CASA, and recently recognized as a DE&I Activator by Forward Sioux Falls, under a program developed by the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Pathways to Inclusive & Equitable Workplaces. Colleen has a passion for service, and brings to this significant legal and leadership experience in the field of ADA, employee relations and Human Resources.
Christy Westerman, Employee Benefits Consultant with Marsh McLennan Agency has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. She delivers compliance support & oversight, employee communication strategy, strategic plan management, health management consulting, and voluntary benefits expertise to employee health & benefits clients with the utmost confidence and professionalism. A Marsh & McLennan Agency (MMA) colleague since 2004, Christy practices across a variety of industries including construction, healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, not-for-profit, senior living, energy, and technology. She works alongside her clients as a trusted advisor to develop an overall employee benefits strategy that supports each organization’s unique culture and objectives. Christy identifies most closely with MMA’s value of integrity because it is a top priority in her personal and professional life. She is committed to always doing the right thing, no matter how hard.
Mary Jo Vance, SPHR, is the Area HR Manager with HDR, prior HR Consulting Partner VP with Wells Faro, Project Manager/Senior HR Advisor with the Weston Group Human Capital Advisors, and HR Generalist with BankFirst Financial Services. She earned her Bachelor of Arts-BA in Organizational Behavior & Management at the University of Sioux Falls, an Associate of Science degree from Dakota State University. Mary Jo is an experienced and accomplished Human Resources professional and consulting partner, coordinating multiple aspects of business development and building relationships with leadership to align corporate mission and goals for the improvement of processes. I work with multiple lines of business to implement strategies that optimize productivity and efficiency, save costs, and provide a measure of success.
