Understanding Medicare and why it matters in HR with Aaron Janessan
Session Description
Join SE SHRM on Tuesday, July 21, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. for an informative chapter meeting featuring Aaron Janessan, Sales Executive on the Employee Benefits Team at HUB.
Aaron brings experience working with groups and individuals throughout the Midwest on benefit and retirement strategies, including Medicare options and entitlements. Known for his clear, education-first approach, Aaron strives to help audiences walk away thinking, “I get it now.”
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1) Educate HR professionals on the basic benefits of the Medicare program
2) Provide an understanding of what employees’ rights, options, and entitlements to Medicare are
3) Discuss key compliance concerns involving HSA contributions, Part D creditability, and key dates to be aware of
4) Education on why this matters to members and sponsors of a group health plan
5) Educate HR professionals on frequently asked questions, common confusion, and misunderstandings people have as it relates to Medicare
Presenter Bio
Aaron is a Sales Executive on the employee benefits team at the HUB. Aaron develops business relationships and provides professional advice regarding benefit plan designs.
Aaron enjoys working at HUB because his goals align with ours—to put clients’ needs first. Aaron is a member of the NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors—Sioux Falls) and Sioux Falls Connections. His hard work has earned him several awards, including the Pacesetter Award, the Club inductee, and Agent of the Month. Most recently, Aaron was awarded the 2017 John Carlson Award for excellence in service.
